Alison attended the 6 week vocal instruction course in February 2008, which led to the formation of A Cappella West. This was her first taste of singing barbershop; her only previous singing experience was singing in her high school choir and chamber choir.

In the first year of the chours, Alison helped with the Membership role, and was appointed Membership Coordinator in May 2009. She is keen to support the existing members of the chorus, and encourage new members to join and discover the joys of being part of A Cappella West.
