Jennifer first sang unaccompanied four part harmony in 1995 when she joined the gold medal winning Perth Harmony Chorus. She describes her 12 years as a member of that chorus as the most exciting and rewarding learning curve of her life.
Jennifer was a founding member of A Cappella West when they began in February, 2008 and holds the role of Team Coordinator.
There have been many highlights in A Cappella West's relatively short history but she names chartering as a Sweet Adeline chorus and taking 1st place in their division at the Fremantle Eisteddfod in 2008 as two of the most memorable. Particularly exciting this year is the focus on preparation for their first show in December of 2009 and first Convention in May of 2010.
For those thinking about becoming members of A Cappella West, she says that “chorus life can be whatever you want it to be. You can attend weekly, learn your music and just enjoy the artform and friendships that it offers. On the other hand, there is a world of opportunity for those who wish to build on their musical, artistic or administrative skills”.
