Jo Oosterhoff joined Sweet Adelines as a member of Perth Harmony Chorus in 1993. She sang with them for 7 years, developing her singing and leadership skills by being (firstly) their youngest Tenor Section Leader, then becoming Assistant Director, and finally teaching around Australia as a member of the Australian Region's Education Faculty from 1999. In 2000, she and her husband moved to the UK to work for 3 years. During that time she instigated the development of a Regional Education Faculty within the UK region, performing many of the first chorus visits herself. She coached extensively throughout England & Scotland before returning to Australia in mid-2003.
Since her return to Oz, Jo has coached around the country as Regional Faculty and privately, served an interrupted term as Australian Education Coordinator, in between having and raising her two beautiful children. Being asked to help out in the 6 week vocal course that seeded ACW, she found herself hooked! Jo is a Certified Director and is looking forward to bringing all her years of coaching to bear on this exciting chorus.
